Hi everyone! I am so excited to finally begin this journey of documenting some of my experiences and knowledge both in softball and in sport performance.

I have been playing softball for 17 years. I was fortunate enough to play at the University of Alabama for four years and I have spent the last five summers with Team USA.

I am currently a second-year Master's student at Florida Atlantic University where I am studying Exercise Physiology, basically the science of exercise and how our body responds to it. I have always had a passion for working out and training and I feel as if the weight room is what can set us as athletes apart from our competition. This is why I chose to study Exercise Science when I got to college and quickly fell in love with the science behind sports performance. I am a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) through the National Strength and Conditioning Association, which is one of the gold standard certifications for strength coaches in the United States. I have worked with numerous athletes while studying both at Alabama and FAU and cannot put into words all that I have learned these past few years. With that being said, I hope to shed some light on various topics surrounding athletic performance including training programs, nutrition, and rest and recovery.

One of the main reasons I have decided to start documenting some of this information is to spread the knowledge of sports performance that I have gained in my studies to the softball population. Parents, athletes, and coaches should all have up to date and relevant information when it comes to training both on and off the field. It is my goal to spread knowledge to all of you on what is being researched and done by top professionals in the strength and conditioning field and help current athletes enhance their performance.

If you have questions that you would like to be answered or any topic of interest you would like me to discuss, please fill out the contact form on my website! I am very excited to get this going!
